The North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) is an independent organization that promotes communication, understanding, and sharing of ideas among all members of the serials information community.
Dean Hendrix is the Assistant Director of University Libraries at the State University of New York at Buffalo. As Assistant Director, Dean supervises communications, assessment, library systems, and entrepreneurial and experimental services at UB Libraries. Prior to his current position, Dean worked in the Health Sciences Library at UB, Morgan Library at Colorado State University; and the University of Texas at Austin Libraries. He received his bachelor’s degree in the Plan II Honors Program and master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dean’s research interests center around assessment related to bibliometrics, data management, video services, social networks, and library instruction. He has published in College and Research Libraries,Journal of the Medical Library Association, portal: Libraries and the Academy, Journal of the American Osteopathic Association and Scientometrics.
